Cho Yeo-jeong
Actress Cho Yeo-jeong rose to prominence for her work on the movie Parasite, which went on to win four Academy Awards and became the first non-English language film to win the award for Best Picture.
She is also well-known for playing a number of other well-known roles in The Servant, The Concubine, Obsessed, I Need Romance, Lovers of Haeundae, Woman of 9.9 Billion, as well as numerous other films and television shows.
Cho Yeo-Jeong, who was born on February 10th, 1981, will be 41 years old in 2022 and was raised in a stable Christian family from Seoul, South Korea, where she was born and raised.
Seo Ju-hyun
Singer, actress, and songwriter Seo Ju-hyun is from South Korea. Her stage name is Seohyun. She made her debut in the girl group Girls’ Generation in August 2007. The group went on to become one of South Korea’s best-selling artists and one of the most well-known girl groups in the world. She recently worked on the Netflix production Love and Leashes in 2022.
Seohyun credited her parents with helping her choose her career path by allowing her to try new things, even though they did not encourage her to become a celebrity. Seohyun was in the fifth grade when she was spotted by a talent scout while riding the subway.
Cho Yi-hyun
Rising to prominence after the Netflix hit “All Of Us Are Dead”, Cho Yi-hyun born in 1999, began acting in 2017 and has made appearances in a number of other movies and TV shows, including “How to Buy a Friend” (2020).
In addition to acting, Yi Hyun has appeared in front of the camera to promote various goods. She recently signed on with renowned ice cream company Baskin Robbins for a sweet campaign, and she previously starred in commercials for Korean skincare brand Botanity.
Yi-hyun is set to reprise her role as Choi Nam Ra in season 2 of All Of Us Are Dead announced in June of this year.
Park So-dam
Another Parasite alumni, Park So-dam is an award winning actress from South Korea. She was born on September 8, 1991 and started acting in independent movies in 2013. She gained mainstream fame thanks to her acclaimed roles in the 2015 movies “The Priests” and “The Silenced.” She made her acting debut on television in the 2015 drama special “Red Moon,” and since then, she has appeared in “Cinderella and Four Knights” and “Because It’s the First Time” (2016).
A well-known performer in independent films, Park starred in the Busan International Film Festival-notable independent Steel Cold Winter and the Korean Academy of Film Arts feature Ingtoogi: Battle of the Internet Trolls. Park also appeared in supporting roles in well-known films like The Royal Tailor and Scarlet Innocence. Park underwent surgery after receiving a diagnosis of papillary thyroid cancer in December 2021.
Jung Ho-yeun
In September 2021, after the emergence of the record breaking Squid Game, Jung Ho-yeon (also known as Hoyeon Jung) shot to a whole new level of popularity. The 28-year-old former model charmed audiences with her compelling portrayal of the stoic contender Kang Sae-byeok on the Korean survival drama.
The native of Seoul will next appear in Alfonso Cuarón’s new Apple TV+ series, Disclaimer, with Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline entering a new zone stardom.
It is unknown if Ho-yeon will return in any form for Squid Game’s second season, which Netflix confirmed in June (the show’s creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has indicated that she might return as Sae-byeok’s sister…an entirely feasible notion that we’d be happy to see).
Jeon Jong-seo
A South Korean actress who also goes by the name of ‘Rachel Jun’, Jeon Jong-seo became well-known for playing Hae-mi in the critically acclaimed South Korean thriller Burning in 2018 (which is included in our best Korean movies to watch article), she also won Best Actress at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for her work in the suspenseful The Call.
Jeon’s family relocated to Canada when she was a young girl, where she went to middle school. She graduated from high school in Korea. She majored in film at Sejong University after graduating from high school. She took a sabbatical from school in 2018 to more freely pursue her acting career.

Bae Su-ji
Singer, actress, and model Bae Su-ji, best known by her stage name Bae Suzy, is from South Korea. She was a part of the JYP Entertainment girl group Miss A.
When “Dream High” premiered in 2011, Bae went on to star in it, launching her acting career. She earned the Best New Actress award at the 2012 Baeksang Art Awards, the Best Actress and Best Couple awards at the 2013 MBC Drama Awards, and the Most Popular Actress and Best Style awards at the 2016 Baeksang Art Awards.
Miss A’s breakup was revealed by JYP Entertainment on December 27, 2017. After her contract with JYP Entertainment expired on March 31, 2019, Bae parted ways with the company and inked a deal with the acting agency Management SOOP. In early 2017, Bae launched her debut solo album “Yes? No? ‘. Her pre-release single “Pretend” achieved chart-topping success. After 4 years, she made her singing comeback on February 17, 2022, with the song “Satellite.”
